I am working on developing a sketchbook habit. I have started two books. One Etchr brand, with heavy paper, that I am using for botanical sketches, and one lighter weight spiral bound Bee Paper brand, that I want to use for experimenting with decorative shapes and patterns. Moody Plum Purple Bedroom Inspo

Purple is the perfect color to create a moody sensuous bedroom. Combine lighter and darker purple in various patterns to create variety for the eye while avoiding a big blob of purple. The walls can be a soft gray, or go with a dark plum to really draw it all together. The purple bedding look above is my patterned duvet in a textured geometric diamonds pattern, with sheets with a hand stamped pattern of purple waves, and my geometric moon cycle pattern on the shams.

Terracotta and Rust Home Decor Collection

Terracotta and rust red are vibrant and happy colors. Reds are great for the kitchen or living room, where you want to be social and relaxed. Terracotta and brick can be used as a pop of color on wallpaper or home decor to add to an otherwise warm and neutral space, or combine with greens and yellows to get an ecclectic boho look. Choose dynamic patterns to add interest to monochromatic hues.

Studio Log : Finches and Florals

Trying to focus on some floral patterns this year, so this month I spent a little time just playing with paints, getting a feel for the shapes, and trying out some different colors and mediums. I also drew a lot of finches to create a pattern for Spoonflower’s 2025 collaboration with Pantone.
